Career Booster – Qualify for what you stand for!

Employees who have been with the company for a certain amount of time (e.g. 5 years) can apply for the «Career Booster».

This is a «budget à fonds perdu» for the development of new business in the own organisation. A business plan is sufficient to qualify, but with a deposited «Miles Stones» programme. This means that the candidate defines goals that must be achieved in order to receive the next tranche of the budget.

The employee can be partially or fully released from his or her actual duties for this project.

In case of success, the candidates receive a previously agreed sum (bounty) as a reward. Furthermore, they participate in the company's additional success over the next few years with a percentage share that is also mutually agreed upon.

Why?

New business is the bloodstream of every company. Not winning new business means stagnation. Stagnation leads to regression. Regression to cost savings. Cost savings to layoffs. Layoffs to depression. Negative spiral.

Generating new business leads to new opportunities for all employees. Development opportunities, higher salaries, increased motivation. Positive spiral.

Rewarding employees with their own budget for the development of THEIR company weighs more than a bonus at Christmas or a bonus that is used to pay taxes, for example.

How?

A Career Booster Board is needed to assess, set budget sizes and monitor. The CBB acts as unbiased as possible. A statement like «that didn't work 10 years ago» is not part of the assessment. A certain generosity is essential. Free unencumbered thinking should be promoted.

Candidates can put together a team to support them in completing the project. Funding for external support is part of the budget. Support from internal experts is remunerated by the candidates with a share of the whole.
